Gonvarri Material Handling (GMH) uses a custom written structural design calculation tool “Rackstar”. To support the growth in GMH business activities, geographical expansion in Europe and worldwide, growth in automation segments, new product launches etc. an additional software developer is needed. The “Rackstar” software responsibility is within the Product Development group under leadership of GMH CTO function
RackStar Software Description
RackStar is a structural design and optimisation tool for adjustable pallet racking systems.
The structural design of the pallet racking systems is according to EN 15512
Projects are MSAccess databases containing project definition tables and calculation results tables.
The projects are calculated using own C# DLLs. The calculation contains a basic 2D finite-element part and multiple technical verifications.
A MSAccess front-end is used to create and fill the project databases. Numerous reports are available to document the project and it’s verification. VBA is used to manage the MSAccess front-end’s forms and reports.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise and experience in the following:
- programming language C#, to enlarge the calculation DLLs
- programming language VBA
- Microsoft Access databases
- Technical understanding (understanding technical formulas, conversation with structural engineers)
- English proficiency
Location
The position is located in Rasnov Romanian and will report to the head of Group Product Development.
