User Guidelines
For a safe and efficient storage area, Dexion Hi-Lo advises its clients to make sure all safety procedures were taken.
Racking safety means to identify the unsafe components of the storage system, reduction of the danger for collapse or for injury of the personnel caused by the continuous use of the defective shelving.
To ensure a maximum safety of your storage syste, please follow the next steps:
- Make sure that the loading boards are present and visible and that the instructions shown on them are being respected.
- Check regularly that the loads on the level and on the pallet are according to those on the loading boards.
- No physical changes must be done to either uprights, beams, bracings or any other components.
- Please contact us prior to making any changes to your storage system.
- Replace, do not repair! You must make sure that any damaged components from your racking system are replaced immediately, because they can influence the integrity of the entire racking system.
- A regular inspection of the racking must be done both internally and independently in order to check its integrity, to identify its maintenance needs and to ensure that the racking is not overloaded.
- The shelves must be checked weekly in order to detect any problem from an early stage.
- Use the opportunity to do regular inspection with the help of our specialized crew, according with the contract.
By identifying problems you will reduce the possibility of an accident which might cause serious damage to the personnel as well as unexpected expenses.
